vacuum brake booster

Engine: 5.7L Hemi
I think that is my issue but i my mechanic cant figure out what part is broke.
There is no code coming thru the computer & booster begins to do its job when it warms up.
We cant determine what part is malfuctioning & if replancing the brake booster is the issue or if its just a part of the issue.
i have a brake booster ready for install but i dont want to put the 200.00 part on if its not the issue.
