Transmision problem

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 Hemi. My son was driving the jeep and when he made a left hand turn off my street. He heard something pop underneath the jeep and it lost traction. Know the jeep will not move forward or revers. Need help to fix the problem

did it pop the drive shaft? Does it make grinding noises when you shift it into gear, or any change in noise? Did you try to shift it into 1 and 2 gears?

Kinda need a little more info to work with so we can help.
