Default Tire size?

I just bought a 98 5.9 and i know the correct tire size is 225/70/R16 but mine came with brand new 235/70/r16's that the used car dealer installed.all was good for about a week but now the truck is kind of binding up on tight turns and iam hearing a rubbing noise from the rear.could this be from not using the correct tire size?I mean i don't think there is much differance between 225 and 235 but i could be wrong.thanks for any help!

225/70R16 is close to 28", 235/70R16 is 29", so about a 1" difference. You're problem is not from tire size.

Somethings up with your transfercase, forgot what's it's called right now but it's common on the Quadra-Trac systems which is causing your binding. Not sure about the rubbing in the rear.

EDIT: Viscous Coupler, that's your problem with the transfer case and binding, still not sure about the rubbing noise, care to elaborate?

Your not rubbing the tires in the rear. Check the differential fluid and the transfer case fluid then go from their.

does the noise only come from the back? if its your viscous coupler then you will hear the binding/chirping from the front tires during a turn.
