i have a few things worng with my jeep and seen as im got layed off do to no work. i have time now to fix it. i got every thing i need but my rear main seal, when i went to the parts store there was two and singel and double pice. does it matter?

its a 90 cherokee pinoner 5 speed.

kind of hate the fact that i was just in there and replaced the clouth and all and went and played and the rear seal went had having to put oil in it ever 3 days

is there any site that will have one that is not ome i need a valve cover to, but i dont want a cork and the parts store around here have one that heavy durty for 40 buck and the cork is only 5

Ask for the double lip seal, the single lip will not last long since your crankshaft will certainly have a groove where the lip sat.

so there is no after market for the rear seal, what about the valve gasket im shear there is a better one the cork and does not cost a arm and a leg

is it worth the money or should i just get cork gaskets?

i dont go off road that much but when i do go im out there for 4-6 hours at a time

think i might stick with a oem seen as it seems that after market is way up there for any gasket or seal
