Taillight and brake lights and reverse lights not working

Hi I have a 2000 grand cherokee Laredo. I have been having issues with my taillights and brake lights. Fuse 6 and 23 are good. All light bulbs have been replaced. I've replaced the sockets on both sides for the tail/brake light and the brake switch . I replaced both light assemblies. The prompt was that the brake and reverse lights not working on the passenger side. That's when I replaced the socket and then the assembly. Now the brake light works and the turn light but not the reverse light on the passenger side. The taillight, brake lights and reverse was working on the driver's side (that assembly is new as well along with a new socket in the top) now nothing works on it after I installed the new assembly on the passenger side. Please help what else do I need to look at. I tried testing the wires on the connectors, and I got numers, but not sure if I was doing that correctly.

Welcome to CF!

Check your grounds on the tail light harness. I can't count how many people have problems with jeep tail lights! If you sit in traffic for long periods, the brake bulbs get really hot and start to melt the plastic sockets causing all sorts of lost connections. You may have broken the ground connection with your handling of the units.

Thank you dave1123

Before I read this I went back in and I changed the harness wiring on the passenger side Adnan I wiggled the the wires on the driver's side. I now got the brake, taillight working on both sides. But not the reverse light on either side works. I will check the contacts on to see sockets to make sure they are connecting.
