T-Case Swap?
Ok guys i can get a free ZJ probally a 93 but it has a blown t-case. i have a spare np231 and np242 from a xj kicking around.can i swap in either of these transfercases? Oh i should mention it has the 318 V8 engine with the np249? tcase

the 90 is a non h.o.
but regardless, either way, you'll have to swap out the input shafts.
also, you may have to swap out the speedo gear/mechanism.
but either one should be just as doable as the other. i would go with the 231, but only depends on how you want to build the jeep for what purpose in the end.

The 242 will have the same spline count but may have a different length. If I had to choose it would be the 231, much more aftermarket support and no diff inside to go out.
