Default Suggestions on buying a GC.

Story is I am thinking of buying a GC for the wife. I am looking for a Limited I think. It is going to be a street/beach only deal. I may do a mild lift and tire combo but that would be it. What should I look for in a GC for this? I have looked at a few on different lots around town and have seen some nice stuff. Just wanted some of the GC communities opinions.

well i can tell you that out of all the grands we have owned my wife's favorite by far was our 04 laredo(the limiteds are sweeter but this was fully loaded and we got a deal on it) with the 4.7 and full time 4wd,right now she's driving an expedition cause our family has just out grown a gc but she's always wanting to drive mine now lol. most guys will say get selec-trac which mine is but like i say for the wife i think the quadra's better, also keep in mind the limited tend to have a few more electrical issues, like the blend doors

03 or 04 for be a great buy. I know my wife hates the command trac in her liberty, wished I had gotten her AWD. As far as a limited versus a laredo, the limted had blend door issues on the automatic zone control heating, only real difference in the two from a maintenance standpoint.

I think if you drive a limited with a 4.7 v8 you will not want to look at any thing else. you didn't mention snow but this quadra drive system works very well.

Well if this is your wife vehicle, and you will be doing safe offroading, I would say yes you will really like it. I take it your not planning on taking through bush and rocks with a the chance of hurting it. Either way its a great system. Our 04 is a daily driver but will all this snow and ice we have you don't even notice its there. And no worrying about if I should have in 4 wheel or not it take the equation out.
