hello all zj owners i need some help
my exhaust clamp broke and tail pipe rotted off so its hanging there held by a chain lmao
its time for a new exhaust...lookin to get a hi flow cat with flowmaster super 44 offroad edition
my question is dose anyone know the stock pipe size and where the inlet and outlet have to be located?
my zj is a 4.0 straight 6 limited (hope that helps)
dont know much about mufflers so if its a dumb question or dont make any sence im sorry

Realistically the muffler choice is depending what you want. I love my flow master. My philosophy has always been if you are going to fix your jeep you might as well up grade to better parts. The most important aspect to this improvement is getting a mandrel bent tailpipe. If you have ever seen what it looks like where it goes over the rear axle it is more like 1.5-1.75" in that area. I went with what Kolak performance suggested and I have no regrets. Magnaflow catalytic converter, A flow master 70 muffler (the major difference is how much noise inside you hear) and then the mandrel bent exhaust. All of these are 2.5". It is a great mod for the 4.0. I'm not quite sure whether the K&N intake or the cat back gave me more HP. I liked them both. Btw I read your build page and it is looking good. You might want to look at kevin's offroad for your sliders.

I personally love KOR and their service is top notch and their products are pure beef. Just looking at the jcr2 that thing in not even in the same league as my kor lateral protection sliders. The first time out with them I hammered them on a rock hard, it shook the entire jeep, and it only scratched the bedliner coating. jmo
