ive never had a jeep that acted this way it locks the rear axle togeather but not the front axle in 4 low remind u this is the quadra trac 2. the front shaft dont have but maybe an 8th of an inch of play in it. im so lost on the system is it the t case or something else cause ive even gone to the lengths of checking every hose whether its connected or not. every sensor is connected from what i can see and yet i still have a 2 wheel drive cherokee its weird i like it but its being more difficult than my previous jeeps and even in 4 all time its 2 wheel its odd. was thinking it may be that viscuous coupler but i have no idea what that even does to be honest.

It does sound like its a tcase or VC issue.
