startting problems 93 jeep v6 4.0
The past week been getting worse then it has been for many months/years. When turn it over, it sometimes starts then dies off after a sec or two. If i did get it warmed, it would run fine. If I parked it for more then 15 mins, it would repeat not to start properly.
In the past day I tryed to start it yet it dont seem to always start or fire. I then start to check & remove vacume lines to see if any changes.
One vacume line to map sensor i did remove & it did start, but wouldnt idle. did warm it this was as well but it still wouldnt stay running. If I put the vacume line back on it would die. If I went to drive it, it would also stall out.
Any Ideas where to stat with this problem??

This could be one of several problems. First I would check the plugs, distributer cap, roter and wires. make sure nothing is cracked, corodded, arcing, scored. make sure your plugs are gapped properly. also check your coil. it may be an ignition problem.
next step would be to check your fuel flow. fuel filter, fuel pump, gas lines, injectors (f you have them)
then check air flow, air filter, loose/cracked vaccum hoses, check and clean the air intake (butterfly valve). Also check your O2 sensor(s) and catalytic converter.
if all that fails: then you might want to look at your PCM (power control module aka ECM engine control module) for loose connections, faulty wiring, ect...
beyond that, it could be valves or something worse. Hope this was helpful
addition: could also be the crankshaft control sensor

I would test that your battery has a full charge. Then maybe clean your IAC valve. Test CPS as they can cause intermittant problems when they're going bad. These in addition to all the checks Kragarn suggested above.
