Starting issue - Starter Replacement Location

Hello - My 06 Cherokee (5.7l hemi) is having problems starting...just one click when you turn the ignition. I tested the battery (pass), starter relay (pass) and now I want to remove and test the starter.

Does anyone have a schematic/diagram of the undercarriage? I removed the skid plate, but I am having trouble locating the starter to remove it.

Thanks again!

Just follow the red battery cable. It will lead you to it. The cable connnects to the starter terminal. You can try jumping from this terminal to a small terminal that is on the solenoid. If the starter is good, the starter will engage and turn the engine. Use caution doing this.

On a 4.0 engine it is on the passenger side. Lower rear of engine by bell housing.

Here is a picture of a starter. Jump the terminals with the orange lines to see if it will crank the engine.
