starter problems

starter problems
recently my 2007 Grand Cherokee Jeep refuse to start one click and nothing I put in a new battery and a few days later the same issue mechanics couldn't find anything wrong with the starter although it wasn't tested in all situations does anybody out there has have had this problem before is it the starter I need help

Old fart with a wrench
Check the positive battery cable clamp. It's probably not making good contact.

if you only getting a clicking noise, it's just the solenoid working but the contacts inside arent making contact. you can get a heavy relay and wire it up to bypass this issue and youll find it turn over nicely.
if the starter is out of the car test the starter with some jumper leads and put the black lead onto the body of the starter and the red lead on a large terminal that has a wire going to the starter. if it runs you know the issue is with the contacts inside the solenoid.
