squeaking from passenger side only while turning

So i have this horrible squeak/rubbing noise coming from the front passenger axle side of the jeep, but it only happens while turning. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Ball joints, cv issue?

Have you checked the brake pads?

ZJFreak Jul 25, 2012 03:51 PM

Not yet but it sounds more like a bushing, i need to pull the wheel and look

wildspear Jul 26, 2012 02:32 PM

ZJFreak Jul 26, 2012 10:35 PM

are they 1310 for the drive shafts ?

ZJFreak Jul 27, 2012 02:31 PM

so i think its the unit bearing in the hub!

wildspear Jul 28, 2012 01:50 PM

Thats a pretty easy fix, just buy a new hub and put her in

Its my upper control arm bushing on the frame side of the arm how hard are they to change out ?

Bustedback Aug 4, 2012 06:36 PM

Change the whole arm. Two bolts and some cussing will get it done. Do not tighten the bolts until the vehicle weight is on the tires.

Yeah the arm is like 40 bucks or less but do i have to jack the jeep up or do i do it while on the ground ?
