Default Speed proprtional steering solenoid

My 96 ZJ has speed proportional steering. The pump went out throwing off the belt and breaking the mounting bracket on engine block. Luckily I found a bracket in a bone yard and bought a reman pump from Autozone. Had to reuse my resevior and solenoid because nowhere sells the speed proportional steering solenoid. Installed everything and bled system turning wheel lock to lock at least 50I times from advice from great people here on the forum, but still no power steering. Does anyone think the solenoid could be bad? And if so where can I find one? Thanks!

besides if I remember correctly these systems only worked at low rpm/vehicle speed. anything above 25 mph or 1100 rpm and the system defaults to standard power steering control. Did the replacement power steering pump come with a new pressure regulator?

Thanks *****, I haven't checked for any codes yet but the new pump has the port for pressure regulator and had what I think is the pressure regulator in it that the solenoid goes onto or into the port, I also replaced the O-rings but after I let it down off jacks, I have no power steering at all...frustrated

did you try turning lock to lock with the front wheels elevated and the rpm above 1600?

I tried bleeding by turning lock to lock with front wheels elevated and rpm over 1600 and let down but still nothing. Can I bypass the electric solenoid and put a regular pump from 95 or 97 zj in it?
