Default Sounds like warped rotors.

2004 Grand Cherokee LTD. No noise/vibration, when I'm on the gas, but when I take foot off the gas there's a cyclical noise like a warped rotor rubbing on a pad. Replaced with new rotors and pads all around, and noise still there.
U-joints are tight, but that's what I'm thinking of tackling next?
The location appears to be in the rear. Any ideas?
Thanks, Cheers.

The ujoints may be tight, but they could still be bad. Any signs of rust around the grease seals on the ujoints?

On my 99 LTD I had the same noised but it turned out to be the brake hardware had snapped and was scraping my rotor giving me the sound (not sure if it's a scraping sound) and the kit was cheap just a piece of thick wire essentially.

Welcome to CF. It could be an issue with the emergency brake shoes or hardware inside the rear rotors. The e-brake shoes press against the inside of the rear rotors when applied. On the '97 ZJ I had, the lining material had separated from the shoes and was dragging on the inside of the rotors, causing a rubbing noise when the wheel was rotated. Of course when I replaced the shoes, and hardware, and had the braking surface turned smooth, the noise went away.
