"sound" from valve cover with new gasket?
I changed the valve cover gasket to a felpro. The gasket is much thicker than what was there. When i shut down the engine i hear a tick/snap sound, its like a hot metal that cools down. I have also changed the intake gasket. But i think the sound is from the valve cover, is it correct? Does the alu valve cover expand and extract more with felpro gasket? Its the original cover and I think its beacuse the lip on the cover dont get down in to the head like it did when only RTV was used, it looks like the size of the lip is the size of the felpro gasket. ???

when metal gets hot it expands, the sound you are hearing is most likely the metal contracting back down. i wouldnt worry about it unless there are other related problems
