Default Shaking in idle

’97 Jeep Grand Cherokee :

turn on my car car yesterday and it starts shaking, start driving and it stops but every time I was idle it started shaking. I pull into a parking spot 5 min later and as I’m pulling in my wheel locks and my car dies. I turn it off and turn it back on and it’s been fine since.

I don’t know if the two are related but any help about these issues would be very appreciated.

Welcome to CF.

You might want to post here. Is the CEL on or have you had it scanned for codes?

Not yet, i wanted to have some info before I go to a new mechanic - just moved to KY and don’t want to be told I need some $500+ fix when I don’t like I have in the past. But thanks, I posted on that thread as well!

Your car is running badly and it stalls out. You need a code scan and then maybe a fuel pressure test or two, and a good tune up.

It could be something as simple as a spark plug fouled with carbon and it blew the carbon out.
