seafoam
Hi, i have used seafoem in my tank for 1 tank now and the mpg got from 12 to 13, but i cant get the vaccume hose to the break booster loose. Can i remove the air filter and drop seafoem directly in the throttle?

If you are wanting to put Seafoam into your brake booster, putting it into the intake manifold will not work. It will get sucked into the cylinders the moment you turn on the engine.

Andy, I think he was wanting to get the brake booster hose loose to pour in the 1/3 can of seafoam while the engine is running... That is how a lot of guys say to do it..

Yes, thats correct. But since the vaccume hose is stuck i was asking if i could drop it slowly in the throttle, drop by drop, not fill it up.

Yes you can pour very little at a time directly into throttle body while vehicle is running. Pour slow, the engine will stumble when you poor just take it slow.

Once you have about 1/3 to 1/2 of the can in turn off the engine and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then start it up and keep it running untill it stops fogging the neighborhood... LOL

There may also be another vacuum port on the LH side of the intake right in the middle. Mine has a rubber cap on it, so if you had a chunk of vaccum line you could run it through that port. If you use the other vaccum ports the seafoam may have the tendency to flow only to the nearest cylinder to that port.
Nothing wrong with pouring down the throttle body as long as you do it carefully and slowly, side benefits to this method is the possibilty of cleaning the IAC and IAC port too, along with some cleaning of the throttle plate and throttle body housing.
