Replacement Frame Mount for Front LCA 2000 JGC
So I bought a 2000 2WD JGC and It has a smashed Frame mount for the front lower control arm. I mean really smashed. Someone used an earlier (mid 90's) control arm since it's about an 1.5" longer than the stock. The shimmed the width with washers. They made it work but not for my standards. So my question is does anyone make the frame side bracket that is welded on the unibody? Or will I be stuck making one or finding someone willing to hack one off of a parts vehicle? I've searched but so far I have not found anything. I know I could make my own but I have way too many projects right now so if I could buy one I would most likely go that route.

I know there are box sections for repairing the rear mounts of ZJs and those are new on the market, but IDK about WJs. Have you tried checking with a collision shop?

Yeah checked with 3 body shops in my area and they all came up with nothing. You can order each part of the bracket from mopar but you need to know the part numbers as there are no diagrams only part numbers with a description of bracket part and even the dealer was not willing to order them as there were a lot of part numbers and most would be returned.

If that's the case, there MUST be a database somewhere that labels all the parts. Maybe just at the assembly plant. They don't make it easy, do they? I remember looking for a rear hatch latch and besides the part number the suffix was AA or AB, one was left side and one was right side, but it didn't say which was which. At $155 each, I got two from the junkyard and refurbished them for at total price of $10 for both.
I've heard of something similar before and the guy put a long-arm kit on it that replaces the trans crossmember to attach the lower arms. A little expensive and a drastic fix, but it worked. The problem was they wouldn't fit without a 3" lift.
Why not cut a piece of frame from a junkyard wreck and built a new one from scratch using it as a pattern? It seems to me the only criteria is it being strong and having the arm mounting hole the right distance from the axle with the right slot width. My WJ doesn't even have slots for cam bolts like my ZJ did.

Yeah the sheet metal is pretty thin and I do have my other 2000 I could get the measurements from. I may just be building one lol.
