Default New here and need some help

First off hello to everyone. I came across the forum after looking for some info on a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee i'm looking at buying and some things I noticed while test driving it. I'm hoping a Jeep guru or maybe a suspension guru can help me out in deciding if this Jeep is worth buying.

It's a 1993 GC with a 3 1/2" bds suspension lift. Now I'm not to familiar with lifts so when I took it out it seemed to have a strange kinda sway to it. When hitting most bumps it swayed what seemed corner to corner, so the front drivers corner swayed with the back passenger side. Sounds kinda strange but thats the best way I can describe it. Is that from the suspension lift or is it maybe due to something else like needing a sway bar or something?
The other thing I noticed is the steering wheel seemed to have a fair amount of play in it, is that something that can be adjusted on the steering box? He claims he had it in for a wheel alignment and they told him it was fine. I would muchly appreciate any help on whether these are normal things i've noticed or if it's indicating much bigger problems. Thanks!

i'd say your on the right track, sounds like the sway bars were removed and probably the gear box has some slop but there may be some worn front end parts as well, check the tie rod ends etc for play. Also,if the drag link and track bar are not parallel (i.e, has a drop pitman arm and no drop TB or vice versa) you will get bumpsteer (hard to keep tracking the jeep straight).don't know if it's worth buying without more info like miles,condition,price....

The Jeep is a 1993. The guy said the drag link was changed as well as the ball joints and tie rod ends. There's two bars at the front one being a drag link the other being the track bar i'm assuming, neither of which run paralllel to one another, I could see that maybe causing a funny kinda sway with the lift.
