radiator wont drain

radiator wont drain
im trying to change the radiator hoses on a 95 4.0 and i loosened the drain plug at the bottom right of the radiator right? well i took it completely out and only a few drips came out. am i doing something wrong? i had the radiator cap off too but it wont drain.

I'd drain it by removing the lower radiator hose and then use some really good flush to flush your system. Some are made to stay in the radiator for a week and are for neglected systems.
