Radiator repair
My 96 zj rad is cracked along the side in the plastic portion. Can I assume that is non repairable, as in, I need a new rad?

It will cost about the same for a radiator shop to repair the one you have as it would to just replace it with a new radiator. Replace it.

There are shops that can replace the tanks as long as the parts are available. These radiators are pretty cheap and replacing the radiator will also give you the piece of mind that you are getting a new radiator that nice and clean and not partially clogged or corroded etc.
If you want to shop around you might find a cheaper price and o-reillys might price match with other local places. I dont check a lot of places but usually 1800radiator can beat their prices, they also do a/c stuff too btw.
