Default questions about trans..

ok, so i have to refill my atf about every 2 weeks. i check the level, fill it to the level that it needs, and drive on. driving though, when it shifts from first to second, it almost lets up and shifts really quickly. now this doesn't happen when the dipstick is all the way in. after a day or so of driving, some pressure pushes the dipstick top off of the rim and it shifts better that way, not completely fine, but much better. i don't get it. there are no visible leaks, no problem areas or any other shifting problems.

Check your transmission air vent to see if it's plugged. I'll bet it is. There are only two places the fluid can go, overboard or into the engine. Because your transmission doesn't have a vacuum modulator, that leaves a leak somewhere.

On the shifting, check your TV cable for proper adjustment.

Thru a blown vacuum modulator diaphragm, but because yours doesn't have a modulator, it can only be a leak.
