Quadra trac 2 to selec trac swap. How complicated is it?

Needless to be said, I hate having full time 4x4. It wastes too much gas. What I want to do is swap in the selec trac transfer case into my 04 4.0. Is this easily manageable? Could I get a t-case from an xj or does it have to be a wj? My 01 grand Laredo had what I would like but I can't exactly take it from my sisters jeep. If I do this I want it done right, meaning all the sensors and lights on the dash. I'm assuming I can use the same shafts. Correct me if I'm wrong. Would it be a 231 or a 242? Also, if anyone has any parts I need, hook me up :)

Thankss

contrary to popular belief, having a 2 wheel drive option will NOT save you any fuel. all the front axle components are still turning, causing the drag that robs a little bit of power and gas mileage. to benefit fuel economy wise from 2 wheel drive, you would need to install manual locking hubs on the front axle, but the kit to do it is so expensive, its not worth the fuel savings.

i should copy and paste that into a notepad document so i have it for the 4 times a day i have to type it.

quick question....that was a great write up but what about those of us with all wheel drive and no shifter....i'm guessing the obvious....have to cut the floor for the shifter right?
