Ok long story short my motor is dieing and so is my 42re(junk box)

Now I have a donor '93 XJ with good running 4.0L and a AW4. I want to put this motor trany combo in my '94 ZJ. What all will I need to swap with it? Wireing? ECU? Trany Computer? links info and all usful input would be great.

The plain is to do this swap over my 4 day 4th of July weekend. So I really need to get on the ball..

Sry Nick never done that swap. I think you already have listed those things that I would think are essential to make it run afterwards.

I haven't done this swap, but I would imagine it being pretty direct. You will need all the elecrical that goes with the AW4 of course. The only issue I can think of is the output shaft on the tranny. I recently did a t-case swap on a 93 ZJ 4.0 AW4 249 for a 95 ZJ 4.0 42RE 231. The output shafts were different on the two trannies, so I had to break the t-cases open and swap the input gears.

T-case issue isn't a issue I'm running the T-case from behind this XJ in my ZJ now so that's all good.... I'm looking more for the tech in this swap, I'll basically have access to all the XJ wiring for the swap.. It's just making it all work with the ZJ body wiring that has my on edge.
