Is it possible to lower a 2014 GC
I have a new limited and want to lower it a couple of inches.
Has anyone ever done this? Mine is a limited, so it does not have the manual air height adjustment of the overland. Thanks! |
Go to the hardware store and buy a 16oz roofing hammer. Now start beating yourself in the head with it until you pass out. When you wake up, start beating yourself in the head again.
|
They are easier to lower then to raise. They are nothing more then big cars now.

2014 is independent all around now right?
|
Yep.
|
If he wants a rad ride, why buy a jeep? I suppose it takes all kinds. Maybe we should ignore him?

i think it would look really badass. i know a lot of folks on this forum are off roaders, but that is not me.

Just get some low profile tires, unless you want to go to hydraulics.
|
Only to prove he is not worthy of owning a Jeep. It should be taken away from him.
|
Ah, Busted! Just think of all the fun he'll have being laughed at!
It's like hot-rodding a PT Cruiser, it just shouldn't be done! |
I don't think you folks understand that Jeep is NO LONGER what it use to be. Its a full line up of full independent suspension cars geared towards a lot women and family folks. They are not a 1/10th capable off road as older Jeeps. SO a Jeep that is built and designed as a car, why not treat it as such? It a pavement performer, not a real trail performer
|
Hot rodding a PT Cruiser is wrong? Then I don't want to be right.

Should have just bought a Chevy Extreme edition S10. It would have been far less expensive and you'll look just as dumb.
|
You know, I think you're right! I think I just bought my last Jeep! Unless I buy on older TJ.
Busted, I saw a PT Cruiser with a Hemi and 15" wide slicks on the back! My life was built on classic and muscle cars. It just didn't seem right to use a PT for that. On the other hand, I saw a Gremlin on a Bronco chassis! Now THAT was strange! What was even stranger is he was mud-bogging it! My own psychedelic dream is a Dodge Caravan with rear wheel drive and a V8 in the back seat! |
i think it would look retarded, but if youre hell bent on doing it, maybe some SRT-8 springs?
|
you guys have no respect at all, the guys want to lower hes jeep.If you don't have any advise just don't comment thats it.I will to,jeep are not just for sink it in the mud.Ebay hes making a kit for cherokee but not sure for the 2014.
|
Why does everyone care about what he does to his 2014 "Cherokee" ? Everyone was bashing it before it came out, someone has one and wants to lower it and ya'll act like he's trying to lower an XJ. Lol. I don't get it.
Now, why would you want to lower it? You have a brand new vehicle, drive it as it. Maybe change the wheels/tires. No sense in hacking up a brand new suspension that you overpaid for. |
Improve cornering and looks.I know mine is very soft, almost scary on corner.Im used to drive europeen SUV and they are way more stiffer.I buy mine for the mercedes diesel engine. So far im very happy with it for the price i paid.
