Try swapping relays in the engine bay, and checking the fuse. If those are good (swapping relay with the same relay, I think the horn) doesn't help, you will have to see if you are getting power to pump.

Questions, What type of jeep, year make model, what engine, so we know what we are working with.

How did it die on you? Did it just stop working all of the sudden?

Best of wishes, I am still working on a fuel issue as well.

It's a 97 ZJ 4.0. If you'd have paid attention to the user info, you'd know that.

Welcome to CF! Check your ground wire at the tank. If both the pump AND gauge aren't working, it's a pretty good indication of a problem with the wiring to the tank.

Thanks for your reply! I have tried all the things listed and nothing. I have also wired the pump sensor straight to the battery....still no results to report, sadly! I also swapped the asd relay with the starter relay.

Thanks for your reply and welcome!
Where is the ground wire for the tank located?
When i changed the fuel pump and assembly i disconnected a sensor that goes to the fuel pressure regulator and it would not go back into its original position, had a small plastic clip that clipped into the metal. (Not sure of what it's called sorry...newbie)
But i must say i have learned a lot just reading posts here.....VERY informative.

Also, I'm officially a week in on these repairs
About to just wave the white flag and tow her to a shop....
My beautiful jeep named Christine....

Check for a poor ground behind the drivers side trim panel in the cargo area.
The fuel pump and the fuel sending unit share the same grounding point.

The picture in the last post was the most informative one I've EVER seen on this forum! Thank you for sharing that!

misskiteez, Take apart the fuel pump connector and check the ground pin for actually grounding. It's the one on the bottom left, holding the connector with the locking tab up. This is the body harness connector I'm talking about. You may have a break in the wire somewhere.
