Pinion seals.
Just a word about leaking pinion seals. IMHO, there are only 2 reasons for a pinion seal to leak. Either it's worn out by getting mud or dirt on the sealing surfaces or the pinion bearings are loose allowing the nose of the pinion to move around. You can check looseness with a dial indicator on the yoke. Pull up and down on the driveshaft. Any change in the indicator will show the bearing to be loose. Mud or dirt will wear out the seal or groove the yoke where it runs against the seal. If the yoke has a groove in it, just changing the seal won't stop the leak.
Just my opinion, and I'm sure I'll get some feedback about this.
