PCM question
02 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.L V6, 200,000 miles. My oil preasure is all the way to high. I have had the oil sending unit repaired twice already for this problem now. THe oil preasure started doing the same thing last week again. Its been 6 months now and now this is the third time this has happened. The Jeep service guy said that the Power Control Module has gone bad and is causing too much resistance to the oil sending unit making it go bad. Is this legitimate or are they sticking me for cash? The PCM is $800 new. Is there any other problem that could be causing this and do I have any cheaper alternatives to getting my hands on this part? Would a junk yard be a good alternative? Thanks for you help.
