The PCM on my 2016 jeep Cherokee does not work. I managed to get one from the similar car of the same model and year as replacement but can't reprogram it to work on my car.

The feedback I get anytime I try to program it is that, the PCM has already been programed for another car and cannot be used on my car.

I really need help and advice on what to do

You can't just switch this part out from one vehicle to another. It needs to be the same type as was original and programmed for your vehicle. Re Programming of the new one needs to be done by either the after market dealer that you bought it from or by a JEEP dealer. The feedback you are getting is correct.

Blue is correct. The only way it will work is if it came from the same year jeep that has the same options as yours does. The PCM works with all the other modules in the vehicle. I'm assuming you don't have a local dealer handy, correct? Since this is only a year old, the dealer should be able to handle this for you. The place you bought it from was supposed to program your VIN code into it.
