My white ZJ has black front/rear bumpers. I was wondering if it'd be worth it to do the job myself. I'd do all the necessary prep work and everything. I'm wondering what I'd have to do and the recommended paint that'd stick and match the stone white. I may be repainting the whole vehicle (matte black) next year, so I don't know if it'd be worth shop quality.


Aside from repainting the front/rear bumpers, I have to address:










I found a site that appears to have VIN-matched paint. I was wondering how much I should buy for the front and rear bumpers, and the spots around the vehicle. I'd like to buy a little more than needed to be on the safe side.


For Stone White paint from Automotivetouchup.com, a Ready to Spray Pint can is $44.95, Quart can is $79, and a gallon is $270. What do you guys think?

If you're going to do the whole Jeep, you might want to look into Plastidip. You can do the whole car with they're rubberized coating and peel it off later. It's really tough stuff. It comes in just about any color including matte black.
