Outside mirror delaminated
Driver side heated mirror seems to have delaminated. When it's cold it gets a film in it - put on the heat button and it mostly clears up. I see that you can purchase a new mirror and pop the bad one off & the new one on. My question is this. I have to go on a trip this week and won't have time to replace it. Are there any tricks to get rid of the fogging-up (film) until it is replaced?

while we're on this topic though, my driver's side mirror is gunked up as well. I'm not sure it has the same issue as yours (there's black stuff at the bottom of the mirror that's on the inside).
How do I find a replacement for JUST THE MIRROR and not the entire assembly?
98 ZJ limited - I live in Florida -- so the defroster feature is utterly useless to me. Will this work:
Edit: I just bought replacement glass from O'reileys. It was like $10
Also, do I have to break the glass and remove the old mirror in order to install this? I've never had to replace a mirror before.
