Optional tire size
 

Can anyone help with this?
I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland with tire size 265/50 R 20. I cannot find a treed design that I like in that size. I found a tire size in 275/55 R20. I am told that changing to this size may affect my ABS/drive train system and may void my warranty. I was also told this tire will work and there would be no problems. I actually called Chrysler headquarters and was told "It may void your warranty" I ask what does "may" mean? it either voids it or not. Can I do this or not? They could not give me a direct answer.
Any thoughts?

Tires have their own warranty not related to the car. but if you go up in tire size, it will change your speedo accuracy, which could affect your oil changes, and if you had a problem because of this, could void your warranty. if you have a tire that rubs, and causes issues that will void your warranty, if the tire fails because its too big and damages something, that would void your warranty.

No idea if this tire size would actually fit, but if it causes an issue that they can even kinda prove that was due to the larger tire size, then yes it would void your warranty. MOST jeep dealerships are cool with modifications on jeeps, but only if they are reasonable.

You'll have to do the exact math, but the tires you want are only 3/8" wider and about 1" taller. IDK if that will cause a rub or not, but it shouldn't effect your speedometer enough to matter. I checked my 2000 WJ with my local police stationary radar and my speedo reads 3 mph faster than the radar shows and that's with stock tires.
