Oil Leak
I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee and it hasn't run in awhile and I'm just now able to get into it and get it going. Though I need a new battery I was able to get it started for a little bit with jumper cables until it stalled. When my brother had tried to get it to catch, it started to smoke somewhere on the driver side. My grandfather said I have an oil leak somewhere in that area. Any ideas what it may be?

Hello and welcome! The exhaust manifold is on the left side and gets very hot, very fast. If it's been sitting you should take a good look. A mouse nest, maybe leaves, or anything there could catch fire! Not much on the left to leak oil except the valve cover. Give it a good look over, clean up anything that' might have accumulated there. The smoke might quit in a couple minutes. It's not unusual for something that's been sitting, or worked on to smoke a bit at first. Be careful! It's always nice to have a fire extinguisher around, I actually carry one that's not that small.
