oil leak
Just found out the dumb *** that had my Jeep before me didn't bother to put a gasket on the valve cover instead he put a sealer or glue kind of stuff on the valve cover so I found my oil leak.

Mine was like that too when I got it but the guy used the glue plus a cork gasket. It took a little bit of work to clean the goo off then I put the good rubber/metal gasket on it.

I used a putty knife, razor blade type gasket scraper too. Pretty sure I used a can of B12 carb cleaner to dissolve the glue stuff, basically soaked a rag and sprayed a little on the glue itself and used the rag to wipe the glue. The carb cleaner worked real good once I scraped the bigger globs of glue first. It was a real mess and I left some glue behind, I was mainly focused on cleaning the gasket surface area and the glue on the inside of the head.
