Sounds like a have a small RC car next to me as I drive down the road, just sounds like something is spinning some super fast rpm. I just heard it today and it comes and goes. I might be going 20 mph or 50 mph its intermittent. I'm leaning towards wheel bearing or u joint? Anybody deal with this sound before?

The sound of a wheel bearing will be constant and changes with speed. Also the sound generally disappears when turning to the bad bearing side. A u joint is more likely to make clunk noise while acceleratin/decelerating and sometimes coupled with a vibration. Do you have any more details? You said its intermittent which makes me wonder

Not really heard it on my way home, I tried to shift the weight of the vehicle to see if the noise went away (trying to eliminate wheel bearing) the noise remained. Don't really have any other way to describe sound other than it founded like a small motor winding up?

Power steering pump? Alternator? Belt idler pulley?
