no spark F&*$!
alright guys. 93 grand cherokee 5.2v8
last night i limped it home after only having it run right if u feather the pedel or idle. died last nite at home. got home this am. cranked right up and drove to auto zone with the same thing from last nite. came home after replacing the coil wire that was pretty burnt up thinking i found the problem. go back out alittle while nothing wont crank. drove to nh and came home still no go. so i checked again and no i have no power going to the coil.
any ideas guys? what should i check next. i really hope it isnt the pick up module in the dis.

No voltage to the coil? That means there is an open circuit on the primary side of the coil, blown fuse or a broken wire. No ground, or no pulsing ground means there is a problem with the pickup coil or crank sensor. You're kind of confusing me when you say it won't crank, but you drove to someplace.

weird **** isn't it? it will start up and run fine. except when you try and go wide open throttle it starts back firing. like i said pretty sure its the pick up coil.
last night after sitting there turning it over on the highway after it stalls out it would just randomly run fine or as fine as it would get the way it was.
and the coil that has no voltage is the one that has a plug wire to the dizzy.
at this point in time it will not run at all. i replaced all the wires today because they are original and plugs are next as i had planned anyways. i had touched just a random part of a plug wire last nite and it bit me. and it looked to be in good condition too. and i found teh date 4/92 on them. then it made sense!
