Probably the neutral safety switch. The switch doesn't read it as being in reverse so the lights don't come on. Anyone else agree?

Definitely....I've been through 5 in two years...shoot me. Try cleaning it before you replace it. I'm not sure which kind you have but mine is on the pass. Side of the tranny. When I get home ill send you a link with the walk-through.

is it hard to replace? are there different ones? online they sell them for about $20-50

  • Step by step cleaning
  • Its fairly easy to replace, the hardest part is prying it off.
  • There are a couple different types of NSS but I believe the WJ has the same as mine

Good luck!

I would try cleaning it before replacing it. Follow the step by step directions I posted
