Default No power to fuel pump!!

My 99 Gr Cherokee is not getting power to fuel pump. Local offroad shop told me to check the fuel rail for pressure at the valve, there was none. They said it was the fuel pump. I just put this pump in about 5 months ago, so thought it must have went bad. Dropped tank and thought I would check for power on wires; there was none. Removed pump to inspect and thought I would put power to wires from battery charger. It worked fine, so it is not pump. I think it has to be security related. Please help! Thank you so much!

I guess I should mention that I did check fuses and swapped relay with another to make sure it wasn't that.

It looks like ya just gonna have to trace the wires back from the pump...shouldnt be that hard I would think.

If ya got power going thru the relay the prob is from relay to pump. If no power going inot the relay it's from use box to relay.

I am am 100% whether your year Jeep has a fuel shut switch anywhere.

Started to do that, harness comes thru floor under rear seat and runs into another harness that I will have to remove seat to try to follow.

Pump only gets power for a few seconds to prime then shuts off once started it runs constant. Check for power with 2 people one under one turn key to run see what happens.

If it were working at all, you would be able to here it when you turned on key. You can't here it prime.

OK, so has noone else had this problem? Noone knows what it is? I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee with the same problem. New fuel pump relay. Pump runs when you connect power directly to the plug at the tank from an auxillary battery. You can actually start the engine at this point. My question is...what is the problem? Is it the PCM? Crank Sensor? I checked for voltage at the TPS and had +5vdc. Watched several videos on the internet. Noone has an answer.

I guess I will have it towed in and checked! It has to be security related I feel, because security light stays on. Also, I tried cranking with the power connected to pump, still would not start!

I recently had an issue with an after market security system on my Jeep that kept it from starting. Basically a wire shorted out and the system was always activated (though the alarm didn't sound) and constantly thought someone was trying to break in, hence keeping it from starting. Sounds like this could be a similar issue if your security light is always on.

IDK about this security light. My 2000 WJ doesn't have one. The PO put in a remote start unit and I'm worried if something happens with it, I'm screwed because I don't know what they tapped into to install it. I've been thinking about having it professionally removed.
