i have a 95 grand cherkee with the 5.2L. here s the problem. 1st 2nd and 3rd all work great. it just wont go into 4th. when i push the od button it jumps up around a 100 rpm and then goes back down to around 2500 at 55mph. no codes stored in computer. any help or what to check would be a great help

How is the transmission fluid level ? Put the engine on and tranny in neutral and check the dipstick

Could be a solenoid problem, should have a transmission shop check it out to be sure.

fluid level is fine. i work as a mechanic is there any test i can do without bringing it to another shop. i have read were it can be a solenoid but there are other things it could be also. i have access to alldata pro if that can help but there are test that need to be done. im hoping that it can be an easy fix
