No brake lite pwr at plug

For some reason I have lost power to my trailer plug for the turn and brake lights. The lights on the Jeep work ok but not at the receptacle. There are no fuses other than the normal circuits to the lights but nothing I could find elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is an access door behind the spare tire, there you will find the converter for trailer lights. You may have to reach in to find it, but that is most likely the cause of the trailer plug problem.

I found a circuit board called lamp outage module and a 6 pin plug. The module doesn't have any fuses and nothing smells or looks burned. I will check the lights power on both ends and see what I get.

I need to find where the wires to the trailer plug connects to the vehicle. The 6 pin plug is for the left light assy. My brake tail and turn signals work on the car...just not to the plug.

Found the problem

Found a bad fuse #1 on the fuse panel inside the car. A person from Korea spotted the problem on another forum. I didn't read far enough on the owner's manual that that fuse also controls the 'Trailer tow relays'. Thanks for your help. Great forum.

You're not bailing on us now that your problem is fixed, are you? Stick around for a while.

No...not at all. I could share more problems I'm having with this car.

Another electrical problem is the interior lights will come on and go off on their own. I would ignore for a while until my battery went dead. Checked all the door switches which seemed to be functioning. I had to pull the fuse to save the battery. Someone has said the time delay might be the problem.

One more is the clock and status display reset like you disconnected the battery. I was driving one day and saw it reset while I was driving. I've checked all the obvious battery connections and grounds.I'm beginning to feel that there is a gremlin in there somewhere. I still love the car tho.
