Hello everyone! Very excited to have stumbled upon this site.

I have a 95 Grand Cherokee Limited, 8 Cylinder.

I'm very new to cars and mechanics, so be kind. Learning how to change my own oil = huge moment of being proud.

I have some questions.
1. Whats the proper way to shorthand my vehicle's make and model? (Ex- 88 XJ)

2. I have this problem where I cant use my key to unlock the drivers side door without the alarm going off. I have to unlock the hatch first. Any suggestions of what might be wrong?

3. How hard would it be to replace my stock antenna with one of those all rubber ones? Would doing this cause electrical problems, as the rubber antenna wont be retreating down into the car when the stereo is off?

you also will see 95GC ( GRAND CHEROKEE)the antenna will be a small prject you may want to consider paying the bar bill for somone to do it, my factory antenna is still there but no longer used

That would be the security system. Unless you have a remote for keyless entry, you'll have to follow that procedure. The only way to do without a remote would be to completely bypass the stock alarm system and ground out a wire in the passenger door. But, word of warning, your entire alarm system is overridden with that procedure, so no fuel pump cutoff if stolen.
