New shocks making noise
So i got some new Rough Country Hydro shocks with my spacer lift and the rear shocks are making rattling sounds when i go over small bumps. I've heard it could be the new metal tubing that goes in the rubber pieces, so i was thinking about switching the metal tubes out with the stock ones. Anyone else do this? Any successful stories about fixing rattling shocks?
Thanks
Its a 2004 if it matters

Try tightening all the bolts down now that you driven it around. I lifted a KJ not too long ago. I told her to bring it back in 5 days to check everything out after the install and her driving it around and seating everything. She never did and 2 weeks later she called me frantically, My Jeeps falling apart. The top shock mount was not tight. Not lose, just not as snug as it should have been.
P.S.....Never lift a KJ, PITA!!

This is most likely your culprit. I've read about guys swapping that bushing from their stock shock, but I took the easy way out and just added a thick stainless washer in between the bushing and the mount to take up the extra space. Problem solved for less than $1 and a few minutes of my time.
