New problem... Cam bolts on lower control arm
Got one out but the other one wont move. Soaked in PB blaster all night and wont move, heated to red hot and still wont come loose. I'm installing adjustable lower control arms so I don't nee the adjustment from the cam bolts.
This is the bolt
My question is can I use a same size and strength bolt and some thick washers(not offset washers regular washers) instead of the cam bolts?
thanks I really want to get this Jeep back on the road by tomorrow so I can play with some friends instead of riding in one of there trucks.

I did the same exact thing and it worked great with no problems so far.

I thought with adjustable control arm, they would not be needed.
Mine are currently rounded, someone went to town with the wrong size socket. I might have to cut them off and install a replacement.

The holes in the bracket on the axle are slotted, you still kind of need the cam bolts to help center the whole mess.

I've been running bolts with large washers since I posted this a while back with no issues. The only problem was I couldn't find the exact size washers the closes ones were about 1/8th to small. All I did was fill the 1/8th gap with a weld and it stopped the clunking sound. I'm running solid 3" lift upper control arms and adjustable lower control arms and I was able to move my front axle forward to clear the fender with my 33"s and keep my pinion angle good.
