i got a 97 grand cherokee limited w/5.2 V8 and just bought a new performance chip and am looking for the IAT wires which i heard were separated from the MAF wires. does anyone know exactly where they are?

that chip does zero zip, it's a 5 cent resistor. You'll be better off at this point just tossing it in the trash.

well theres a 100% money back and ive looked up reviews on it and its does make a difference. im just asking for the location of the IAT wires so i can try it.

The Intake Air Temp (IAT) sensor on the 5.2 is on the pass. side front of the intake manifold. It doesn't have Mass Air Flow (MAF?), so I don't have a clue what you're looking for, or expect to achieve. If you jury rig the IAT to try and fool the comp into thinking the engine is drawing in cooler air, it could cause detonation issues. JMO
I play around with my other vehicles but my '97 5.2L ZJ doesn't like to be fooled with. Good gas, keep it tuned up, and drive the snot out of it.

sweet i just found it thanks, ill keep that in mind all the chip will do is tune the ECU to max horse and mpg depending on the engine temp., stress, fuel etc. and to the way i drive. so it shouldnt hurt much thought id just try it out.

Will do ive been meaning to do that before i make all the mods, no other jeep will have the black trim instead of the gold as the pin stripe, rims, and emblems so ill get some up soon
