Default new owner, and questons!

whats up fellas? been a ford, mainly mustang guy for years, and a mustang forum.
well i sold my mustang, wanted something bigger so i picked up this baby, love it!
1999 grand cherokee sport 4wd I-6
so i changed the spark plugs, wires, flush the radiator, and added a fuel system/slash injector cleaner (seafoam)
everything checked out when i drove the jeep, and no issues...

now heres my question, just now driving home the car was hesitating, i hit the gas and it was "bucking", doest seem to be a transmission problem as it was shifting okay, almost like a misfire or something, just driving and you could feel it lke it hit a bump, and then you hit the gas and it would get worse.

any common things to look at or replace? thanks!

Check your plug wires, make sure none of them popped off of the cap or plug.

FYI: that isn't a grand cherokee. Just a regular cherokee sport. MUCH better. Probably just a typo . Nice looking jeep though. How much lift that thing got?

thanks for the info, im learning
i know so much about fords, switching to a jeep is a whole new learning process.

my first jeep, i love it, idk the exact lift though sorry.
however, the car threw a code, check engine light came on, i cant scan it the obd2 port isnt getting power, all fuses good no visibly cut wires or bad grounds, so ill have to figure it out, i have an emissions check here in ohio, cant pass with the light on lol.

runs perfect, only when youre cruising and slam the gas. =P

lol welcome to the jeep. They're a little greedy with the gas. If those are 31" tires - which they appear to be - I would say that's a 3" to 3.5" lift.

As far as the port to check the codes try pushing the wires in to the connector from behind while the scan tool is plugged in. For some reason my dodge 1500 does the same thing, I have to put pressure on the wires to scan it and when I get it smogged. Might be a Chrysler thing lol.

It IS a Chrysler thing. I never had wiring problems with any of my GM cars, BUT I LOVE MY JEEP!
