sup folks, just bought a 97 grand cherokee laredo with a 4 inch lift and 32's. at 190k on the odometer, runs great, everything works. put 1000 miles on it in 2 days after i bought it. great vehicle. not sure about what kind of lift it has, but i wanna get about 2 more inches higher to keep from scrubbing. any suggestions? also, what are the major issues with these jeeps? anything to look out for? here's a couple pics

Congrats on the new jeep. Not sure where your local is but is 6 inches really necessary? If it's just for looks then I'd say definitely no.

Welcome to CF and congrats on your purchase. It looks good, but I don't think you need more lift, I think you need wheels with less negative offset in the lug mounting surface. On yours the mounting surface is recessed too far into the wheel and that shoves the tires further outward from the centerline of the vehicle, causing the front tires to rub when steering, and also causing premature failure of the wheel/hub bearings and ball joints from the added stress being put on them from the leverage.
This explains backspacing/offset: >-> http://www.chevellestuff.com/tech/wheel_offset.htm
