Ok i just bought a gc limited with 72000 miles for 2600. its in great shape and i jsut did alot of work like coolant flush, brake and power steering fluid flush. Alignment and tire balance and rotation. Its fully loaded leather,heated seats it has everything but 4wd. My question is are these decent cars? Anything I need to know about. I am a mechanic at a dealership. Thanks in advance

Good god mine cost double that with double the miles. Shame it has no 4wd, that's a crutch you'll have to live with just about forever if you want to do any off-roading. And yes GCs are awesome vehicles with the best ride quality of all Jeeps on and off the trail. And the 4.0 I-6 is a legendary engine if you didn't get the V8. The only problem/drawback is that you shouldn't be expecting decent mileage

And just out of wonder, as a mechanic at a dealership, would they let you work on it in the shop while off-hours/break? I'm guessing that's how you got the Jeep in the first place, buying it at employee pricing when someone traded it in. The Jeep's easily worth double what you paid for it, and a bit more.

Always wondered about that, my brother runs a Chevy place so i guess I'll ask him tomorrow if the mechanics can do stuff like that as far as using the shop...
