Need to replace radio antenna

Need to replace radio antenna
My OEM antenna mast fell off on my '02 GC while traveling the interstate yesterday. Not sure why but all I have left is the metal stub where the antenna was swaged to it. Do I have to replace the whole thing including the cable to the radio or does the mast screw on/off? There is a nut type configuration on the stub.
