First I would like to say whats up to everyone, New Member Here. I just bought a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a 5.2 liter, 4X4, and an automatic tranny. I bought the car for my 16 step daughter. The Jeep has been sitting since January so today I put 4 new rotors and pads on it. I also changed the fuel filter, air filter and oil. Today when I was finished I took it for a test drive and once I got above 55 I realized I was at about 2500 RPM, which seemed kinda high to me. The tranny will shift smooth thru 1, 2, and 3 gears but does not shift into overdrive. Now I have always owned Fords (which I probably should have never said) and my truck can do about 68-69 and still run just under 2500 RPMs. If anybody can help please let me know. Oh ya, I did notice it has the button to turn the overdrive off which I did mess with. When I push it the light comes on just like it should. Is there anyway the switch on top of the tranny went bad and the overdrive switch is stuck? Thanks again, Matt.
